Utah State @ Denver Live Blog

While the rest of Denver is gearing up for the Broncos' Super Bowl match up against the North Carolina Panthers.It's the true pride of Colorado, the University of Denver Gymnastics team will be facing off against the Utah State Aggies.



Last week, the Pioneers got a season high of 196.125 against Bowling Green and jumped in the rankings to 13th. Can they do it again? Refresh the page every 5-10 minutes or so for updates!



Rotation one - Denver will be on vault, Utah State will be on bars.

Nina McGee BB DU -  Wolf  jump+ LOSO,  sw 1/4,  BHS + LOSO, beautiful execution, 1/1 turn,  straddle 3/4, spl + tuck 1/2,  gainer 1/1 stuck. That was absolutely beautiful.  I will riot if she doesn't get a 10. 9.875 - another scoring injustice!

McKinzey Martinez FX Utah State -  double pike, floats it. gorgeous,  fun performer,  double back, lovely, wolf 1/1 + popa,   fro 1/1 + fro pike.  9.875

Emily Barrett DU BB -  BHS + LOSO, small step,  aerial cartwheel, 1/1 turn,  cat leap + sw + gainer LOSO, balance check,  round off + 1 1/2, stuck. 9.725

Bailey McIntire Utah State FX - Some "Uptown Funk" full in, huge, chest looked like it was down,  sw 1/4 + wolf 1/1 + popa,  fhs + fro 1/1 + fro lay,  double pike, a little low 9.825

Beautiful exhibition from Nikole Addison of Denver, does a BHS + 2 foot layout, dismounts with a round off 1 & 1/2 very nice.

Moving to the fourth and final rotation, Denver will finish the night on floor (a strong event for them) and Utah State will finish up on beam.

Nikole Addison FX Denver -  DLO, huge, almost OOB,  1 1/2 + fro lay,  sw 1/4 + popa, beautiful amplitude,  double pike, clean. Very nice. 9.875

Natalie Rainbolt final beam performer for Utah State -  BHS + LOSO, small balance check,  fro aerial small wobble, unsure a bit,  1/1 turn, spl + spl jump + sheep,  Gainer 1/1  dismount piked down a bit. 9.8

Nina McGee is the final performer of the night on floor for Denver -  beautiful, high DLO,  sw 1/4 + wolf 1/1, FHS + fro 1/1 + fro lay,  double pike, almost oob.  popa. 9.95
