Favorite Routines: Dominique Moceanu, Atlanta 1996 Olympic Team Final; Floor Exercise

18 years ago today, seven women from around the country came together to win the first ever Olympic team gold medal for the USA. Those girls would forever be known as the "Magnificent Seven" or "Mag 7" for short.

Remember when the Mag 7 won that first coveted Olympic gold medal? I do. I remember watching the team perform their hearts out and getting that gold.

Everyone remembers Kerri Strug's now famous vault where she stuck it on one leg. This is a routine I remember specifically.

It was so fitting that Domi chose this music for her floor exercise. The event was in Atlanta, Georgia and the music had so much spunk and sass, it fit her personality. She was the youngest member of that team and I adored her because she wasn't that much older than I was at the time.

Here is Dominique on the Floor Exercise during the team final.
